- SRENAME BUTTON BANK & START MENU DOCUMENTATION
- ------------------------------------------------
-
-
- SRename_buttonbank and SRename_startmenu are a button bank and a start menu
- for use with Directory Opus 5 and SRename 2.930 or higher.
-
- The start menu can only be used with Opus Magellan II as previous versions
- don't have the start menu capability.
- To install them just copy them to the "Buttons" directory of Directory Opus.
-
- The "Usage_with_Dopus.png" picture illustrates the ways that SRename can be
- used with Directory Opus. The lister menu can be constructed by first making
- the 11 submenus of the start menu in the lister menu and then dragging the
- start menu items into each empty submenu that you have created in the lister
- menu.
-
- This button bank and start menu are in no way a complete substitute of the
- command line interface of SRename. 70 functions have been included out of
- hundreds of other possible function combinations. They just serve as an
- example of the usage of SRename from the environment of Directory Opus.
-
- The included functions are generalised but the user can add any specific
- functions that he frequently uses.
- To use an SRename function just select the files that you want renamed and then
- use the appropriate menu item in the start menu or button in the button bank.
-
- When executing renumber functions you should only select the starting and
- ending filenames, not all the filenames that you want renamed.
-
-
- NEW FUNCTIONS:
-
- In the "Sequence" section 2 numbering functions have been added:
-
- "Number" simply adds an increasing number to the selected filenames. Note that
- numbering will restart from the given starting number if the filenames that
- have been selected exceed the length of the command line buffer as specified in
- the Directory Opus "Environment" settings in "Max CLL". If you want to number
- a large number of filenames use the function below.
-
- "Number all in dir" will add an increasing number to all the filenames in the
- active lister. No filenames need to be selected.
